the Computer, the Army, and the Rubik's Cube

Journal Entry: Wed Jul 23, 2008, 11:41 AM
Woot! I just ordered the computer! it will be arriving in about 1-6 business days, so I'm guessing next Monday. next thing on my list is a monitor for the computer.

It's a dang good thing I'm patient. I can imagine myself gnawing my tows off for the next week waiting. instead, I'm getting my computer ready for a data transfer, rebuilding my 4x4 rubik's cube --one of the nephews got a hold of it--, and doing some chores around the house.

Also, I got a phone call from "united states government" talking about a way into college if I joined the army. As bizarre as it sounds, they convinced me to come in and talk about it with them. I'll probably just say no, but then again, how the crap am I gunna pay for college without a scholarship? If I can't find one, this may be only option. Any help on making a decision will be appreciated!

I think that's everything. Next week, I will be unslaughterable in CSS! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

The army will pay for your books and college, so yes, you won't have to worry about money. My dad was in the air force and said it was nice to have everything paid for. The only downside is bootcamp, I think.

well, I just talked to my dad, and he said that the only one that it helped was my brother chris, and that was because he droped out of school and needed somewhere to go. he must like it cause he's still there.

My dad does not like the idea, so I'll most likely say no.

All things considered there are worse things you could do with your life. If your more into the tech and IT kind of stuff I would say that the airforce is better for you.

The Army is a little more about the practical soldier support, while the marines are about infantry and direct combat. The Navy is for people with no other marketable skills. Airforce boot is easier than army or marine bootcamps from everything I hear.

I'm convinced of the idea of me going into the marines now. I'm just going on my mission first.
